Hometown Glory: Erfurt
This was my day. I had yesterday off and decided I want to be on my own and go through the city to see what the day brings. I love doing this, you never know what can happen, all you have to be is open minded. So i packed my camera, some water and some books (which I did not need, it was exciting enough) and went for it.
...I bought some new shoes which I've wanted for a very long time...
...I went into a church to see what it looks like but there was a divine service taking place at that time. Actually i joined them because it was very..modern..they were playing guitar, singing beautiful songs. Can already see myself there more often...
...Had lunch in a chinese restaurant with a stranger because it was the only free table
...Sat down on the river watching the people there, found myself in a conversation with a stranger later on which i enjoyed so much. I think we talked about one hour or more and in the end we could not even say we are still strangers.
...Listened to the story of a begglar although some people tried to tell him off as he was looking sort of dangerous but i told them that everyone deserves to be listened to, no matter what, but unfortunately this world has lack of humanity, as sad as it is.
...spend 7 hours in the sun
...1000x Smiles given back to me :-) ( It is true, you get what you give )

Home

“Jade?”
“Alexander?”
“Do you remember that day you fell out of my window?”
“I sure do, you came jumping out after me.”
“Well, you fell on the concrete and nearly broke your ass and you were bleeding all over the place and I rushed you off to the hospital. Do you remember that?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Well, there’s something I never told you about that night.”
“What didn’t you tell me?”
“While you were sitting in the backseat smoking a cigarette you thought was going to be your last, I was falling deep, deeply in love with you and I never told you ‘til just now.”
“Now I know.”
I cannot wait to see Jade and Alexander on stage - and to see this beautiful harmony with my own eyes and not just on screen - on 16th August 2011 in Frankfurt

'Tis the season!
I must say that i am the happiest I've ever been. Not right now but generally, I cannot remember any bad day since the start of 2011! This seems to be MY year and i found that everyone is responsible for what happens in his life - for every little thing. Little by little leads to the big thing called life. I started to reconsider life and i wonder why people always make things so complicated when they must not be. We live only once and should enjoy every possible moment of it! I actually hate getting older, saying this at the age of 21. I wish i could stay 21 for a little more than just one year ;-)
A little addition to this perfect year was the easter weekend. I took my friends Simon, Jose and Tanja for a trip to German castle Leuchtenburg, where a big - of course - medieval festival took place. Since i bought my very own sword some weeks ago and having sword training now i admired the sword show fighters..just to find myself in a show fight with them later on! (With a little help from Simon ;) ) ..and even more strange, this day i was discussing about playing the tambourine when jamming with Tanja, who is a guitarist/singer herself. And guess what, later on a band asked me to play the tambourine to accompany the band during one song. It was amazing! I did not even ask to join them - should I start to believe in the law of attraction...? ;)
It was the greatest start of the season i could imagine!

Spring awakening
Spring is when your mood starts to dance and laugh at the suddenly decupled joy life brings along.
Last weekend i went on a trip with Simon to see 3 (yes, 3) castles on one day. Alot of climbs, jumps, action and fun and a journey back to my childhood. And i also found that one can lower the admission charge by getting a "discount for being so friendly" ;)

The first book of Albion
Inspired by the book of lost things by John Conolly (i recommend the book to really everyone out there) and Pete Doherty's "Books of Albion" i started creating my very own book of lost things. I used to be very wistful about the fact of having all my pictures saved on the computer screen, but not in anything like a photo album. I felt panic when thinking about "what if someone steals my notebook or it gets broken and all of this will be lost, what's with all my memories then?" But as i cannot simply order +500 pictures to be printed i am using another method now (apart from this blog ;) ). I always kept everything as memory. They are in every edge of my room, old tickets, postcards, notes, photographs ... all unsorted. I bought an empty book, collected all these lost things and started memorizing my life in this book. And in many years when i am very old i will hold this book in my hands and take a trip down in memories of my wonderful life with its highs and its lows. And so it is, and hopefully will continue to be, wonderful and beautiful.

On stage with Excalibur Rock Opera in Erfurt
This year is just too good to be true - at least so far. It is only march and I couldn't believe my luck when i was in Italy or in the very first row of James Blunt Concert but it got even better. The Thuringian (which shall be the state i live in) newspaper send me a letter telling me they've chosen me for a role in the amazing medieval rock opera "Excalibur", which tells the story of King Arthur and his sword Excalibur, Sir Lancelot,Merlin and Morgana.
I had 7 days left to find my outfit for the show, i wanted it to be perfect. And as for a lucky coincidence someone could lend me a beautiful dress! I think i will ask her if i can buy it, to use it for more medieval/folk events in the future :-)
Two days ago i found myself being on stage with some brilliant artists like Johnny Logan, Corvus Corax and Judy Weiss!! It was my first big stage experience (and big it was, it took place in the largest concert hall of Thuringia) but it felt so good! I wasn't even too excited, i think the excitement lasted for about 5 pre-stage minutes but it was gone as soon as i stood next to Merlin in the Arthur marriage scene. We then followed King Arthur and his wife walking through the audience. Great stuff! I didn't want it to end and i certainly do not want this to be my last stage experience. I never knew acting could be so much fun! It is not about the attention one gets, it is the feeling of being someone completely different and forgetting everything around you! The role is taking over you before you know it.
When i wasn't on stage i watched the show and it was AMAZING! Especially Michael Mendl in the role of Merlin and Thomas Seitl! You guys made the show perfect! :)
I also met some great people who got chosen for the perfomance as well ( huge shout to Rebecca!! :D )
Having breakfast the morning after the show i read the newspaper as i usually do and guess what I found in there ;-)
And some more pics of the lovely folks I've been with, Rebecca on the first pic, Lukas (who is a friend of mine since 4 years) and me on the second :D
